Stephen Harper Delivers his Best Speech in Winnipeg on the Eve of the 2006 Election

The Harper rally was held today at Canad Inns Polo Park, across the street from Winnipeg Stadium.

Stephen Harper came to town and gave his best speech of the 2006 election campaign. The place was packed. The atmosphere was electric. The people of Winnipeg were so loud Mr. Harper had to shout to be heard. More than once Stephen had to stop his speech as the audience chanted his name. It was like watching a Winnipeg Jets game on a day when the Jets actually won.

One of the best parts of the speech was where Stephen Harper mentioned that Canadians already know the five priorities of a new Conservative government, but what about the liberal’s five priorities?

“Look at Mr. Martin’s five priorities for this election: Fighting a phony Quebec referendum that no one’s called, ads attacking our military and predicting martial law, picking a phony war of insults with the US, talking about an abortion debate nobody wants, promising a handgun ban we’ve had for decades and he can’t enforce. The only real thing about Mr. Martin’s election campaign is the latest series of police investigations”. – Stephen Harper

Tomorrow is election day. Tomorrow we find out if Canadians are ready to embrace a Conservative government or if the liberal campaign of fear and smear prevails again. There is always a chance the liberals can win this election, but there is good reason to be optimistic for our country this time.

These are great times to be a Conservative in Canada.
